This policy explains what personal information Dom Sharpe Fitness collects through this website, why it is collected, how long it is kept and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who is responsible for your data
Dom Sharpe, trading as Dom Sharpe Fitness / Sharpe Strength, is the data controller. Sessions are delivered from Bannatyne Health Club, Kingsley Avenue, Fairfield Park, Hitchin SG5 4JJ and Studio 180, Unit 8 Business Centre East, Fifth Avenue, Letchworth Garden City SG6 2TS.

What is collected
The only place this site collects personal data is the consultation form. When you submit it, the following is recorded:
- Name and email address: required, so Dom can reply to you.
- Phone number: optional, only if you would rather be called or messaged.
- Training goal, experience level and availability: so the first conversation is useful rather than starting from scratch.
- Anything you write in the message box: including any injuries or health conditions you choose to mention.
Please only share health information you are comfortable putting in writing. If you would rather discuss an injury or condition in person, just say so in the form and leave the detail out.
Why it is collected, and the legal basis
Your details are used for one purpose: to contact you about the consultation you asked for and, if you go ahead, to deliver your training. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form, and, once you become a client, performance of a contract.
You will not be added to a mailing list, and your details are never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Who else can see it
Your enquiry passes through a small number of service providers, each acting as a data processor on Dom's behalf:
- Netlify: hosts this website and handles consultation form submissions, delivering each one to Dom by email.
- Google Maps: the two venue maps on the locations section are not loaded by default. Nothing is requested from Google until you click "Show map" on a specific venue, at which point that map is served by Google and may set its own cookies.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads: measurement and advertising performance, only after you accept cookies. See below.
No one else has access to your enquiry.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not turn into training are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, records are kept for the duration of your training and for 3 years afterwards, which covers insurance and liability requirements. You can ask for your details to be deleted sooner at any time.
Cookies and analytics
No analytics or advertising cookies are set unless you accept them on the banner. Until you choose, and if you decline, Google Analytics and Google Ads run in a consent-denied mode that stores nothing on your device.
If you accept, the following are used:
- Google Analytics 4: measures how many people visit, which pages they read and which buttons they press. IP addresses are anonymised.
- Google Ads: records when a visit that came from an advert results in an enquiry, so Dom can tell which adverts are worth paying for.
Both are provided by Google, which acts as a data processor and may transfer data outside the UK under its standard contractual clauses. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which brings the banner back.
Separately, fonts and icons load from Google Fonts and Cloudflare, and the embedded map is served by Google. These are needed for the page to display and are not used to track you across other sites.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask Dom to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data held about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Stop using your data for a particular purpose.
- Withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
