HYROX Coaching, From Someone Who Actually Races It
Most HYROX coaching is generic strength-and-conditioning with the word HYROX added to the title. Dom competes in it himself and coaches from that experience, in Hitchin and Letchworth.
A finish time is proof in exactly the way an InBody scan is: a number that either happened or didn't. This one's up on the results board, not a claim on a website.
What HYROX Coaching Involves
Four things, in order of how much they actually change your finish time.
| Station technique | The eight movements, done efficiently. Bad technique on a sled push or wall balls costs minutes, not seconds. |
|---|---|
| Compromised running | Training your legs to run under fatigue, not just building running fitness in isolation. |
| Race strategy | Pacing across all eight stations and transitions through the roxzone, so you don't blow up by station five. |
| InBody tracking | The same scanning every Sharpe Strength client gets, applied to training load and recovery, not just body composition. |
Where Sessions Happen
Sessions run from Bannatyne Fairfield in Hitchin or Studio 180 in Letchworth, both standard gyms rather than a dedicated roxzone. You'll train the actual movements and loading you'll see on race day, technique, sleds, carries, just not on an official competition floor. Honest limitation, worth knowing before you book.
Pricing
HYROX coaching runs through the same 1:1 and app-based programmes as everything else Dom coaches, there's no separate "HYROX tier" with different terms.

Questions
What is HYROX?
A fitness race combining 8km of running split into 1km segments with a functional station after each one: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls.
Do I need to already be fit to start?
No. Coaching starts from wherever your fitness is now and builds toward race readiness, the same as any other programme Dom runs.
Do you train at a HYROX-specific facility?
Sessions run from Bannatyne Fairfield in Hitchin or Studio 180 in Letchworth, both standard gyms rather than a dedicated roxzone. You'll train the actual movements and loading you'll see on race day, just not on an official floor.
I already have the free training plan, why would I need coaching?
The free plan works for people happy to self-coach. 1:1 coaching is for when you want it adjusted to your real fitness, recovery and schedule, with someone watching your technique.
